Wind Load on Cassette Facade

In a cassette facade, the facade finish hangs from a limited number of fixing points. The wind load acting on the facade surface is therefore concentrated on those points. This calculation determines the load per fixing and checks it against the capacity of the fixing device.

When We Use This

  • An A-Brick or comparable cassette system with brick slips
  • Facade corner zones, where wind suction is highest
  • The choice between more fixing points or a heavier fixing device

Basis

  • NEN-EN 1991-1-4 (wind load)
  • NEN-EN 1990 (basis of design)

The calculation follows these standards. You receive a calculation report in which the assumptions and the verification are traceable.
