Garden Wall Stability

A freestanding wall has nothing to lean on: it has to carry the wind on its own weight and on its foundation. This calculation verifies the stability of a garden wall, with or without piers and reinforcement.

When We Use This

  • A freestanding boundary wall that is taller or more slender than usual
  • A wall in open landscape where the wind has free play
  • Assessment of an existing wall that is starting to lean

Basis

  • NEN-EN 1996-1-1 (Eurocode 6)
  • NEN-EN 1991-1-4 (wind load)

The calculation follows these standards. You receive a calculation report in which the assumptions and the verification are traceable.
