Cavity Wall Calculation

The outer leaf of a cavity wall carries its own weight and the wind, and transfers that wind load via the cavity wall ties to the structure behind it. This calculation verifies the outer leaf for that load combination.

When We Use This

  • An outer leaf that is taller or more slender than usual
  • A facade in a heavier wind area or at greater height
  • Checking an existing cavity wall during a facade renovation

  • NEN-EN 1996-1-1 (Eurocode 6)
  • NEN-EN 1991-1-4 (wind load)
