Woven roving, mats, fabrics and resins for composite processing are intended for automotive, marine (including boat building), aerospace and industrial applications. The range consists of glass, carbon and basalt fibre materials, supplemented with resins, gelcoat and topcoat.
Woven Roving Glass is a versatile glass fabric with high strength and stiffness for reinforced composites. Woven Roving Carbon is made from high-quality carbon fibres with exceptional tensile strength and stiffness, aimed at automotive, aerospace and marine applications. Woven Roving Basalt is a sustainable alternative to glass fibre with improved temperature resistance.
In addition to the woven roving materials, there are mat products (FreeMat, FormMat, CombiMat, Chopped Strand Mat) for the lamination process, and finishing products (Gelcoat, Topcoat, Resin) for the outer layer and mould production.
| Product | Material | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Woven Roving Glass / Carbon / Basalt | Glass, carbon or basalt fibre | Automotive, marine, aerospace, industry |
| FreeMat / FormMat / CombiMat | Glass fibre | Lamination process, impregnation |
| Resin, Gelcoat, Topcoat | Polyester, vinylester, coating | Resin system and finishing layer |
The fabrics and mats are placed in the mould and impregnated with resin according to the chosen laminating process; gelcoat and topcoat are applied as base and finishing layers. The exact processing parameters (resin type, curing time, layer build-up) are given on the technical data sheet of the chosen product.
Automotive, marine (including boat building), aerospace and industrial applications, depending on the chosen fabric or fibre type.
Woven roving is a woven reinforcement material with fibres in two directions; a needled mat (such as FormMat) is a non-woven complex designed for fast and even resin impregnation.
